We offer a comprehensive cut and edge service for carcassing, joinery, and shelving purposes.
Our state-of-the-art facility employs a beam saw that is fully integrated with our network, offering the optimal solution to efficient and flexible production.
Cutting lists are entered into the nesting software at our workstations which is automatically uploaded to the saw for cutting to commence.
Our modern edge bander is designed particularly for high volume, repetitive manufacturing for kitchen components, cabinet doors, and shelving.
The PVC edge banding in 0.3mm, 1mm, 2mm, and 3mm thicknesses is applied to the substrate by an automated process using a hot melt adhesive. We offer edge banding in both PVC and veneer.

In addition to our standard range, we can machine timber to the exact needs of our customers, usually on a short lead-time, whether it is for standard profiles e.g. architraves and skirting, or just planned all round (P.A.R.) components required for your DIY project.
Because of our long-standing reputation in the industry, we can assure our customers of consistently high quality. We pride ourselves on procuring only the best quality lumber from FSC accredited sawmills and all our Structural Pine is strictly graded to SABS standards.
We also offer a range of exotic hardwoods from Africa, Europe, South East Asia, and America for both commercial and industrial applications. Some of our species include Meranti, Red Oak, White Oak, Cherry, Beech, Kiaat, Maple, African Mahogany, and African Rosewood.
Laminated Structural Beams are made up of several layers of dimensioned timber bonded together with a durable and moisture-resistant adhesive.
Laminated beams provide strength and stability and are by far the preferred choice for structural applications.
They also add aesthetic value when used as exposed beams and rafters. H & S Timbers supply a vast range of sizes manufactured from Pine and Saligna in lengths up to 13m.
In addition to beams, we also manufacture laminated tops which can be used as kitchen and bar counters or worktops. Tops of various thicknesses can be manufactured from a range of hard and softwoods as well as imported exotic hardwoods.
